Terms of service
Last updated 31 October 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of Rounzi, named at the end, for using the Rounzi app and website.
What Rounzi is
Rounzi is a place to run workshops together: rooms of notes, whiteboards and drawings, shared live from a headset, a computer or a phone. We keep improving it.
Your account
- You need to be at least 16 to have an account. Keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has them.
- You can invite other beta testers to your rooms, by email or with a code.
Using Rounzi
- Rounzi runs in a current web browser on a headset, a computer or a phone. You need an internet connection and a device that supports it. Some features, such as placing a room around you, work only on a headset.
- In a headset, use Rounzi in a clear, well-lit space and stay aware of the people, pets and things around you.
- Take breaks. Stop if you feel dizzy, sick or unwell.
- If you or anyone in your family has had a seizure from flashing lights, ask a doctor before you use a headset.
- Follow the safety instructions from your headset's maker.
The closed beta
- Rounzi is in a closed beta. It is free.
- It is offered as it is, to people we invite. Things will change and some will break. Tell us with Send feedback.
- Your rooms can be lost or reset during the beta, and we cannot promise to bring them back. Keep your own copy of what matters with Settings ▸ Data ▸ Download my data.
- We can end the beta at any time, and we will email you at least 30 days before it ends. When it ends, your rooms are deleted.
- Rounzi may not go on after the beta. If it does not, your account is deleted too. If it does, the same email says what changes, and you can delete your account before the beta ends.
Your content
- You keep the rights to what you put in a room. You give us only the permission we need to store it and show it to the people in the room, who can see or edit it as their role allows.
- What you add to someone else's room becomes part of that room, and stays there if you delete your account.
- You are responsible for what you put in a room and whom you invite. Do not put anything illegal in Rounzi.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely, without paying you or naming you.
Acceptable use
Rounzi is a place people work in together. These are the rules.
- The service. Do not try to open rooms you were not invited to, guess codes, break into Rounzi, overload it or disrupt other people's rooms. Testing our security is allowed only as the security page describes. Do not share your account, and do not put malware or anything that harms a device into a room.
- The people. Do not threaten, harass or demean anyone, or attack anyone for who they are. Do not pretend to be someone you are not. Do not store or share anything illegal, anything that infringes someone's rights, another person's private information, or anything you have no right to share. Do not send advertising nobody asked for, and do not use Rounzi for fraud.
Reporting content
If you find content in a Rounzi room that you believe is illegal, report it on the contact page with the topic Report content in a room. Anyone can report, with or without an account. The form asks where the content is (the room's name or the link you were given), what it is, why you believe it is illegal, and your name and email address, and asks you to confirm you report in good faith. If something is missing, we may ask you for it.
- You get a confirmation with a reference number at your email address.
- A person reviews your report, with no automated decisions, and tells you what we decided.
- If we act on it, the room's owner gets the written statement described under Pausing and closing.
- We do not give your name to the room's owner unless the law requires it, as it can when copyright or another right is the issue.
- If a report gives us reason to suspect a crime that threatens someone's life or safety, we tell the authorities without delay.
This is not an emergency line. If someone is in danger, call the police or emergency services first. Security problems go to the security page.
Pausing and closing
We may pause an account for a breach of these terms, illegal content in its rooms, or use that endangers Rounzi or the people who use it.
- A pause stops new activity: adding to rooms, joining with an invitation, and calls. It deletes nothing. You can still sign in, read your rooms and download your data.
- A person decides every pause. You, and anyone else whose content we restrict, get a written statement by email: what we did, the facts, which rule, and how to contest it, with us or in court.
- To contest, reply to that email. A person reviews it.
- For a serious or repeated breach, we may also close an account. You get the same statement and can contest it the same way.
- A room's owner can also remove people from their room or revoke an invitation. That is their choice, not ours.
Deleting rooms and your account
- A room you delete goes to the trash, and is deleted for good 30 days later.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings ▸ Account. This cannot be undone, so download your data first. What it deletes, and what stays, is under Your rights in the privacy notice.
Availability and liability
- We work to keep Rounzi running and your rooms safe, but we cannot promise it never stops.
- We are liable only for harm we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, and for injury to a person.
- If you are a consumer, your rights when Rounzi does not work as described are unaffected.
Privacy
How we use personal data is in the privacy notice. It is separate from these terms.
Changes and law
- We change Rounzi only for a good reason, such as security, the law or making it better. Before we remove something you use, we email you at least 30 days ahead.
- We email you at least 30 days before new terms take effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then. If you keep using Rounzi after that date, the new terms apply.
- These terms are in English. You can read them on this page at any time, and the date at the top says when they last changed.
- These terms are under Austrian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live.
- If you use Rounzi for your business, the courts in Vienna decide any dispute with us.
